It's Easter time! If you need some fluffy fuzziness to cheer you up, here are my top ten rabbit toys for your Easter knitting. Bertie BunkinsBertie Bunkins is knitted using simple techniques to complete the rabbit and cardigan. When seated Bertie is 30cm tall. All pieces are worked on single-pointed 3.25mm knitting needles in 4 ply yarns. You will need to know how to cast on and off, knit, purl, work increases and decreases, and sew seams. Bramble BunnyBramble Bunny is a quick to knit little bunny with a wardrobe of outfits. The Bramble pattern includes the bunny and her shoes, jacket, sweater, skirt and dress. More outfits to knit for Bramble are free to download from Ravelry. Bramble is 20cm tall when standing. Most pieces are worked on single-pointed knitting needles, although the dress straps and shoe straps are single crochet chains. The dress pattern incorporates Fair-isle colour-work, and you will also need to cast on and off, knit, purl, work increases and decreases, and sew seams. Bunny and ChickyHere is a cheeky pair of Easter knits, Bunny and Chicky are quick to make for last minute gifts. Bunny is 14cm tall and Chicky is 6.5cm tall. All pieces are worked on single-pointed 3.75mm knitting needles in DK yarns. Bunny Ears Egg CosyHere is a free and fun pattern for your Easter breakfast table, my Bunny Ears Egg Cosy! This is a great project for beginner knitters as this is worked on single pointed 4mm needles, not in the round. You only need a small amount of DK acrylic yarn, so it is a super pattern for using up odds and ends of yarn. Egg Cup BunnyEgg Cup Bunny is another quick to knit little rabbit, a super gift for Easter as an alternative to chocolates. This is a teeny tiny toy, and small enough to sit in an egg cup. Flora the BunnyFlora the Bunny is celebrating the return of warm weather in her bright and cheerful tea dress. I made Flora in 4 ply yarns and worked on single pointed needles. I used domed buttons for Flora's eyes, but you can use toy safety eyes or embroider them if you prefer. Harry and Hatty HareHarry and Hatty are a pair of pocket sized rabbits; each is 19cm tall. Harry has a jacket to wear and Hatty a pretty pinafore dress. All pieces are worked on single-pointed knitting needles in DK yarns. You will need to know how to cast on and off, knit, purl, work increases and decreases, and sew seams. Marshmallow BunnyMarshmallow Bunny was one of my earliest knitting pattern designs, knitted in pink and white candy stripes. Marshmallow is 30cm tall and all pieces are worked on single-pointed knitting needles in washable DK acrylic yarns. This pattern incorporates intarsia colour-work and knitting stripes. Millie the RabbitWith her summer dress Millie the Rabbit is a quick to knit pocket-sized toy, standing at 19cm tall. She is a similar size to Harry and Hatty Hare so these three toys can swap and share outfits. Millie is worked on 3.75mm single pointed needles in DK weight yarns. I found some teeny flower shaped buttons to decorate her dress too. Nibbles the BunnyNibbles the Bunny stands at 27cm tall, and all pieces are worked on single-pointed 3.5mm knitting needles. Nibbles' feet are shaped using short rows and the nose is embroidered in pink yarn. You will need to know how to cast on and off, knit, purl, work increases and decreases, and sew seams. Nibbles is knitted in a washable acrylic DK yarn, so is easy to clean from sticky fingers. 🐰🐣🐰🐣🐰 I hope you all have a super and safe Easter break, and happy knitting!
