Here is a cheerful knitting project for sunnier days, my new Beach Hut knitting pattern is exclusive in the Summer issue of Your Crochet & Knitting magazine. I used stripes in stockinette stitch to make the hut and garter stitch stripes for the roof. I couldn't resist adding a string of bunting to show off the other bright colours, plus a little triangle flag on the roof, so this colourful hut really stands out. And if you want to make the hut into a doorstop, an easy (and cheap!) way to do that is to add a bag of dried rice inside the hut when you are making it for a weighty filling. I love the squidgy cuddly look of my hut, but if you prefer flat smooth walls you can add canvas grids or cardboard inside the hut before adding the filling using your knitted pieces as a template, or add a cocktail stick or skewer inside the flagpole to make it stand to attention! I had great fun designing this, and I do hope you enjoy knitting your hut and customising it too. Keep safe out there, happy knitting, and roll on summer! ☀️😎⛱☀️
