Spookily cute, this fanged chap is more friend than fiend! My new toy, Mr Monster, is making an exclusive appearance in Simply Knitting magazine issue 203, just in time for Halloween. I have had several requests to design toys that were knitted in the round rather than on single-pointed needles, as I know some of you hate seaming! I thought this monster would be the perfect project for working in the round for a change. I used the magic loop method because that is my preferred technique, but you can knit on a set of DPNs if you prefer. Although all the pieces are knitted in the round, there is still a little bit of sewing together to do at the end (sorry!). I made my monster in Hayfield Bonus DK yarn in three colours: Grass green, Neon purple and White. It is an acrylic DK yarn so it is easy to clean if your toy gets grubby with play. You only need one 100g skein in each colour to knit this chap so it is easy on the budget too. PATTERN INFO:
