I occasionally knit toys using a fleecy boucle yarn to make a super cuddly furry texture, such as for my toy bear. Unfortunately, as time goes by, yarn companies will discontinue certain ranges, and the yarn I used to make my bear has been discontinued since I originally made it. You can still find the yarn I used from selected retailers, but that may take some time to find it, so I have put together a list of suitable alternatives just in case you are having difficulty sourcing yarns for your bear. The Benji Bear knitting pattern is from LoveCrafts.com
Other yarn brands offer fleecy yarns that could be used to knit your bear. Here are a few that I found that could be suitable based on the yarn band info.
I hope this information is helpful for you to choose which yarn to use for your bear. The links above are correct at the time of writing this post, but if any links are broken since, please do let me know and I will update them for you. And if you have any yarn suggestions you would like me to share here please do get in touch.
