I occasionally knit toys using a fleecy boucle yarn to make a super cuddly furry texture, such as for the body of Brenda, my big cuddly sheep. I have had a few queries about yarns that can be used for Brenda, so I have put together a list of sources and alternative choices just in case you are having difficulty finding yarns for your sheep. My Brenda the Sheep knitting pattern is from LoveCrafts.com
Other yarn brands offer chunky fleecy yarns that could be used to knit your sheep too. Here are a couple that I found that could be suitable based on the yarn band info:
For Brenda’s head and legs I used a 100% acrylic aran weight yarn (also known as fisherman/worsted/10 ply).
I hope this information is helpful for you to choose which yarns to use for your project. The links above are correct at the time of writing this post, but if any links are broken since, please do let me know and I will update them for you. And if you have any yarn suggestions you would like me to share here please do get in touch.
