I made my teddy bears in fleecy boucle yarns to make them extra cuddly. Unfortunately, the yarns I used to make my bears a few years ago have since been discontinued. You can still find the yarns I used from selected retailers, but to help you I have put together a list of suitable alternatives just in case you are having difficulty sourcing yarns to make your bear. You will need up to 75g of boucle DK yarn to knit each bear using 4mm needles. My Berry Bear knitting pattern is available from LoveCrafts.com.
Other yarn brands offer fleecy yarns that could be used to knit your bears. Here are a few that I found that could be suitable based on the yarn band info.
I hope this information is helpful for you to choose which yarn to use for your project. The links above are correct at the time of writing this post, but if any links are broken since, please do let me know and I will update them for you. And if you have any yarn suggestions you would like me to share here please do get in touch.
